The Fisherman was originally created as one of the elements of imagery in a handprint depicting various daily activities in the lives of the Chinese. In the 1960's, the image of The Fisherman was developed into an engineered print. The serenity, contemplation and reflection expressed by the handprint made The Fisherman an instant Alfred Shaheen classic.
